Scope factors, not a price list

What affects the scope of a pre-arrival home clean?

The scope of a pre-arrival clean depends on what the home looked like when you last saw it, which rooms you want ready, and how the cleaners get in. This page names the factors that change the scope and explains why this site publishes no amounts.

What changes the scope before you arrive

The last-known condition of the home

A home that was cleaned before you left is a different visit from one that has been closed up for months, or one where guests or family stayed while you were away. Dust settles, closed rooms get stale, and nobody can see the home from a distance. Writing down what you last knew is the most useful thing you can send.

Which rooms you want ready

Many owners only need part of the home on arrival: the kitchen, the primary bedroom and a bathroom or two. Rooms you will open later can stay closed. A clear list of rooms to clean and rooms to leave closed sets the size of the visit.

How much time sits between the cleaning and your arrival

Your arrival date and the cleaning window are two different entries. A window that ends the day before you arrive leaves room for a second look if something comes up; a window on the morning of arrival leaves none. If your arrival date is still provisional, say so.

How entry works

Entry that depends on a building or community office, a gate list, a parking rule or a family member's schedule changes how a visit is planned. Name the person or role who coordinates entry and the rules they follow, but never write keys, alarm codes or gate codes into a request.

Surfaces that need particular care

Stone counters, unsealed wood, delicate finishes and collections all change how a room is approached. If you know a material, or already use a particular product on it, note it. If you do not know a material, say that too, rather than guessing.

Whether the clean repeats

A single visit before one arrival is assessed differently from a clean before each arrival or a repeating visit while you are in residence, because a repeating visit starts from a recently cleaned home.

Why this page names no amounts

Two homes described the same way can need very different work. One may have been cleaned the week you left; another may have stood closed for a season after a houseful of guests. A figure published before anyone has read your description would be a guess. What this page can do is explain which details change the scope, so the request you send answers those questions up front.

Bravo Maids reviews each request and confirms scope and availability with you before anything is booked. Nothing on this page is an offer, an estimate or a commitment.

What a pre-arrival clean is not

A pre-arrival clean is a cleaning visit. It does not include holding keys, checking on the home between visits, stocking the kitchen, arranging repairs or managing the property while you are away. It also cannot promise the home will be ready by a particular hour, because that depends on entry, condition and availability being confirmed first.

Making the first request useful

Describe the last-known condition, the rooms to clean and leave closed, who coordinates entry, your arrival date and the cleaning window you would like. Mark anything you do not know yet as unresolved instead of guessing. The return-home cleaning planner, linked below, lays this out on one page and prints a clean copy. When it is ready, request a clean and Bravo Maids will confirm the scope with you. For the wider service, see arrival cleaning in La Jolla.

Questions people ask

Can I get an amount before the home is reviewed?

This site does not publish amounts. Bravo Maids reviews each request and confirms scope and availability with you before anything is booked.

Should the cleaning happen on the day I arrive?

It can be requested, but a window that ends a day or more before you arrive leaves room if entry or timing changes. Note your arrival date and the window you prefer as separate entries.

Can rooms I will not use stay closed?

Yes. List them as rooms to leave closed. A shorter list of rooms to clean is a smaller visit, and nothing in a closed room is touched.

Ready to describe your return?

Send the last-known condition, the rooms to clean, who coordinates entry and your requested cleaning window. Bravo Maids confirms scope before anything is booked.
